Good evening,

If you're particularly observant, you'll notice that all of tonight's gems were discovered west of Elgin. If you're even more observant, then you'll know that this is a rare occurrence! It just goes to show that it's true what they say: The west side is indeed the best side.

(Gilmour, west of O'Connor)

There's nothing quite like the retro-modern geometry of mid-century furniture. In case it's at all unclear, I'm referring to the lovely wooden chair (not the hideous boxspring behind it).

(Lisgar, east of Metcalfe)

Speaking of retro, this appears to be an old school desk*. I tested it out by opening up the top, and I'm pleased to report that the hinges are in perfect working order.

*NOTE: The intended emphasis was 'old school-desk', though it's still technically correct if you interpreted it as 'old-school desk'.

(Gilmour, east of Bank)

Here's a fruitful pile of assorted objects. The quality of these items ranges from broken toilet to charming furniture. Here's a second perspective, emphasizing the latter:

I'd like to draw your attention to the 3-tiered telephone table, in particular; you don't see many of those in the garbage!

(Maclaren, east of O'Connor)

Boxes of gifts surrounding an illuminated tree? To me, it looks like a typical Christmas morning (Yes, I'm poor). Let's get a closer look at the box...

You've gotta love when someone leaves a message like this. It's the sort of thing you might expect to see in a classified ad for a litter of puppies. In this case, however, the contents are even more valuable; if you can't tell, it's a fairly extensive collection of musical demos, recorded on tapes, CD's, and VHS.

One of the tapes in particular merits an even closer look:

The Disco Inferno Band. I don't think I need to say anything more.
